Plot: Sixteen year old David is a patient in a hospital cancer ward. He is on the Dreamscape Foundation list. Not knowing what he wants as his wish to be granted by the Foundation, he is asked by the Dreamscape representative to do a visioning exercise to see where his conscious dreams take him. From that exercise, David decides that what he would like as his wish is to lose his virginity. His wish, which cannot be granted by Dreamscape, nonetheless garners much publicity. The one person who does not want to help David fulfill this wish is his priest, one of his primary confidantes who wants David to equate sex with love and marriage. Regardless, David goes on a quest to have this wish fulfilled on his own terms. He has a few possible options, including with his old girlfriend Amy. Circumstances, including David's medical prognosis, make both David and his priest reevaluate their stance on the specifics of the wish.
