Plot: Gringo miner Gallager is caught up in the Mexican revolution of 1910-11 when corrupt administrator Ruiz appropriates his mine. Gallager saves the life of guerilla leader Raquel, then finds there's a price on his head; he becomes romantically involved with her in the course of a series of rescues and ambushes, leading up to Orozco's march on Ciudad Juarez.
Alternative Plot: American tycoon Irish Gallager (Van Heflin) is working in Mexico, where he unearths gold. But just after he makes this lucrative discovery, crooked government official Col. Paco Ruiz (George Dolenz) steps in and unjustly seizes Irish's mine. Irish isn't one to take this kind of corruption lying down, and he attempts to rally against Ruiz, only to find himself hotly pursued by the Mexican military. But female guerrilla Raquel Noriega (Julia Adams) and her followers lend Irish a helping hand.
