Plot: Strangers trapped at an eerie travel oasis in the desert must unravel the mystery behind their visions of dying people while they are preyed upon by a decaying creature.
Alternative Plot: Preparing for a desert rave party, teenager Trip (Scott Whyte) steals drugs from a dealer, then heads out with friends, including Cookie (Arielle Kebbel) and blind Jack (Devon Gummersall). During a stop at an abandoned diner, they find that car's fuel lines have been cut, and that the entire town has been abandoned. When a man (Michael Ironside) arrives looking for his missing wife, he joins the students in solving the mystery, but before long a sinister presence starts killing them one by one.
