Plot: On the night before Halloween, somewhere in Detroit's dark underbelly, the criminal kingpin Top Dollar's vicious henchmen murder the small-time rock star Eric Draven and his fiancée Shelly Webster on the eve of their wedding. Such is the injustice of the loving couple's untimely death, that as Eric's restless soul is escorted to the netherworld, a merciful crow brings his spirit back to settle the deceased's unfinished business on earth. With the baleful raven as his sole link between this world and the next, Eric Draven's reanimated body shall rise from its cold grave--and as a supernatural avenging spectre--the wronged man will get permission to have his rightful retribution, exactly a year later, on Halloween Eve.
