Plot: This is a movie about the political scene in Italy at the time of the kidnapping of the former prime minister Aldo Moro (16 March 1978). the Brigate Rosse (Red Brigades) is the principal character in the movie. Everything revolves around the unstable highly charged political environment: the university in Rome at that time and politics in Italy during those days of civil unrest. the movie depicts accurately those times.
Alternative Plot: An ex-U.S. writer (Andrew McCarthy) in Rome does a book about the terrorist Red Brigades, which they read.
