Plot: In the middle of the savage jungle, at the terrible site of a plane crash, Tarzan's always-curious companion, Cheetah, makes an accidental and astounding discovery: a very lucky baby boy; the tragedy's sole survivor. Ecstatic with the idea of finally having a child, Jane and Tarzan light-heartedly decide to adopt "Boy" and raise him as their own, unbeknownst to them, however, that the unknown infant comes with a handsome inheritance. Now, almost five years later, a searching party arrives led by Sir Thomas Lancing. Along with him comes a conniving duo of opportunists who will stop at nothing to get Tarzan out of the way, and take Boy back to England; nevertheless, the mighty Lord of the Jungle is not alone. Can Tarzan thwart their plans, and keep his beloved only son?
Alternative Plot: The ape man (Johnny Weissmuller) and Jane (Maureen O'Sullivan) find an infant, call him Boy (John Sheffield) and raise him as their own.
