Plot: After training in the facility of his friend Wade Jennings, Mike Banning travels with his team to protect President Trumbull in a fishing trip. However they are attacked by drones that kills eighteen agents and only the wounded Mike and Trumbull in coma survive. When Mike awakes in the hospital, he is cuffed to the bed, accused of attempting the assassination of Trumbull and treason. Soon he learns that he was framed and now he has to prove his innocence and to protect the life of Trumbull.
Alternative Plot: Authorities take Secret Service agent Mike Banning into custody for the failed assassination attempt of U.S. President Allan Trumbull. After escaping from his captors, Banning must evade the FBI and his own agency to find the real threat to the president. Desperate to uncover the truth, he soon turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name and save the country from imminent danger.
