Plot: A woman flies from Buenos Aires to be present for the birth of the child she has arranged to adopt. When the child is born, she is confronted with a demand from the biological mother's family for $10,000 and an adoption process confounded with moral and legal ambiguity.
Alternative Plot: An Argentinian doctor encounters legal and ethical challenges when she goes to the countryside to pick up the infant she has been waiting to adopt.
