Plot: "Rehearsal" is a romantic comedy about the relationship between a young Hollywood movie star, a poor theatre actor from a small Canadian town and a famous British theatre actor who directs them in his London stage production of Chekhov's 'The Seagull'.
Alternative Plot: An aging British theatre director is forced to hire a young Hollywood action star to guarantee an audience for the Anton Chekhov play he is mounting.
