Plot: In an underground fight club, blackbelt Travis Brickley is killed after losing to the evil martial arts master Brakus. Travis' death is witnessed by Walter Grady, the son of his best friend Alex Grady. Alex and his partner, Tommy Lee, vow to avenge their friend's death by defeating Brakus and shutting down the fight club.
Alternative Plot: After their defeat of the Korean national karate team in competition, Alex (Eric Roberts), Tommy (Phillip Rhee) and Travis (Christopher Penn) have established a martial arts studio in Las Vegas. For extra money, Travis fights in an underworld arena -- which leads to his death at the hands of vicious German Brakus (Ralf Moeller). Seeking revenge, Alex and Tommy attack Brakus, scarring his face, and then flee to the desert. Furious, Brakus orders his men to find and kill them.
