Love at 16 (2004)

Plot: Spending his irrepressible and boyish adolescence in a village hidden somewhere in the distant Greek province, the romantic but gawky 16-year-old Alexis along with his best friend Giorgos share the same archetypal and perpetual teenage interests: school, football, naughty comics, and of course, talking about sex. But shortly, unaware Alexis will be in for a surprise, when out of the blue, Antigone, a new girl from the capital, moves to the village with her family, causing a stir at her ambitious and unripe suitors. Undoubtedly, she is intelligent, self-confident and rebellious; a wonderfully unconventional and ethereal presence which exists only in Alexis' blissful and vivid dreams, and obviously, way out of his league. However, as Alexis struggles to pluck up the courage to express unprecedented feelings of love and passion, on the other hand, rejection and loss are the sad reminders of an awkward passage to adulthood. After all, growing up is a gradual but marvellous process.
