Wallander: The Man Who Smiled (2010)

Plot: Kurt Wallander is approached by an old friend, Sten Torstenssen, who asks him to look into his father Gustaf's death. The police have determined that the old man's death was likely an accident due to excessive speed but there are several anomalies in the case. Wallander has been on leave and hasn't yet recovered from having killed a suspect in his last case and so refuses to help. When Sten is subsequently found dead, an apparent suicide, Wallander begins to piece it all together. The Tortenssens ran their own small law firm and the elder Gustaf worked almost exclusively on behalf of a charitable foundation financed by the wealthy Alfred Harderberg who has inherited his wealth and now devotes his time and money to doing good work in Africa. When Wallander learns that both Gustaf and Harderberg received identical written threats, it's clear to Wallander that both deaths were murder.
